Cold Sore (Herpes)
Herpes is a virus which lives in
nerve endings within the skin. It
normally appears felt around the
corners of the mouth, with crusty,
oozing blisters.
Symptoms
A tingling, itchy feeling is usually
felt just before the rash forms.
Tiny blisters appear, usually at the
lips where they join the skin.
The blisters become sore and itchy.
They then crust over and last about
one week before disappearing.
They can return at any time.
