Toothache, Dental Ache & Pain
A Toothache is a painful experience
which is caused by an inflammation
of pulp (which is the part of the
tooth having tissue and nerves)
inside the tooth. A toothache can
also be a consequence of a tooth
cavity. Sugary foods (yes,
chocolates!) and foods having starch
are major culprits, There is
bacteria in the mouth which mingle
with the sugar and starch of food
and produce an acid which damage the
teeth, leading to tooth decay and
then an infection.
Symptoms of a toothache usually are:
a pain in the tooth that is
aggravated when hot or cold foods or
liquids are taken
a constant, throbbing pain in a
tooth
a tooth is painful on touch
a fever.
